Humans
Your job as a runner is to.... run. Run for your life. Survive the run with all your flags and receive a pair of "I Survived The Moore County Zombie Run." dog tags.
Zombies
Your job is to chase the humans, steal their flags, and terrorize them respectfully. In a successful Zombie Run, everyone dies, but no one gets hurt.
Bite Sized
No reason the kids can't get infected too! Kids ages 5-12 can participate in the Bite Sized Run, a half mile run with kid friendly zombies. Fun for the whole family
What Do I Do On Registration Day?
- Humans should check in and receive their registration bags no later than 11:30 AM.
- Humans will be divided into Running Groups. If you want to run first, check in early.
- The first Running Group will begin the race at 12:00 PM. Group start times will be staggered by 30 minutes.
- The goal of the run is to survive with all your flags intact. Lose all your flags and you'll join the ranks of the undead.
- Zombies should check in and receive their registration bags no later than 11:00 AM.
- Zombies will be divided Zombie Groups. If you want to be group with friends, check in early.
- Zombies will be transported to the course at 11:30 AM.
- The goal of the zombies is to grab the life flags of the Human Runners and build up the horde of the undead.
- Bite Sized Runners should check in and receive their registration bags no later than 8:30 AM.
- Bite Sized Runners will begin their race at 9:00 AM.
- The goal for the Bite Sized Runners is to run for the zombies and make it back to safety.
- After the Bite Sized Run, kids can enjoy other activities like the Trunk or Treat, Video Game Truck, and much more.
Race Day Rules
• Participants must abide by all instructions given from the race director, race staff, volunteers and medical personnel.
• Participants understand and acknowledge the 2014 Moore County Zombie Run is an extreme event and accept all risks associated with the event.
• Participants must be physically able to complete the course and all obstacles.
• Participants must be 5 years-old or older on race day in order to participate.
• Participants must wear the provided MCZR bib number clearly shown on the front. No participant will be allowed to race without an official bib number.
• Videographers and photographers will be stationed along the course. Participants agree to allow the event producer (Push Start Tournaments) to use any pictures or video footage of the event for future promotional purposes.
• Baby joggers, baby strollers, in-line skates, bicycles, skateboards or any other type of wheeled device are strictly prohibited on the course.
• Restroom facilities are provided Urinating or defecating on or anywhere near the course is strictly prohibited.
- Zombie are not allowed to leave the Infected Zone once they have been placed. If you need to leave, please inform a member of the race staff.
- Runners may not physically prevent Zombies from grabbing their flags. This includes pushing, shoving, charging, slapping, and any other hostile psychical activity.
- Rule violators will receive one warning. After that they will be removed from the race and asked to leave without a refund.
- Medical aid stations will be stationed along the course with water, snacks, and first aid.
Safety Rules
• Moore County Zombie Run medical personnel may examine any participant who appears to be injured or suffering. The medical personnel may remove any participant from the event if in the opinion of the medical personnel the participant needs to be removed.
• Participants assume all responsibility for all medical expenses incurred as a result of training and/or participating in the Moore County Zombie Run, including but not limited to hospitalization, ambulance transportation or physician services.
• The event producers, Push Start Tournaments, reserve the right to cancel or delay the race due to severe weather or in the event of a disaster.
• We highly recommend participants wear running shoes. Participants should dress appropriately.
What To Bring?
- Photo ID (Not required but it helps)
- Some spending money for food, vendors, and other MCZR swag
- A great attitude and appetite for fun.... or brains.
What Not To Bring
- Guns, knives, crossbows, axes, samurai swords, arm bayonets, flamethrowers, or any other kind of weapon
- Alcohol or illegal drugs of any kind

Parking for the Moore County Zombie Run will be located at Sandhills Community College in Parking Lot H. The address is listed below. Registration tables and other activities will take place in Parking Lot J in front of the Dempsey Student Center.
