Are You Ready To Run?

SAVE THE BRAINS!

This year's Moore County Zombie Run will benefit the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation. The Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation is the world's largest non-governmental funder of childhood brain tumor research. Learn more about them here.

Facts About
Childhood Brain Tumors

Brain tumors are located in children’s control center of thought, emotion and movement, often resulting in long-term side effects. Survivors can have physical, learning and emotional challenges that will limit their quality of life into adulthood.

Based on data from 2005-2009, each year 4,100 more children – 11 each day – are diagnosed with a brain tumor in the United States. The number of new cases for 2013 is estimated at approximately 4,671 (or 12.8 each day).

Brain tumors are one of the deadliest forms of childhood cancer.

Research that focuses specifically on pediatric brain tumors is crucial to saving children’s lives and improving survivors’ quality of life.

The Zombie Run

The Moore County Zombie Run is a Zombie themed survival run in Southern Pines, North Carolina. Runners will start with a set of flags around their waist. The goal is to survive the run with at least one of your flags remaining. Sounds easy right? Not so fast. It wouldn't be much of a Zombie Run without Zombies. It seems the area has been overrun with the undead and their goal is to feast on your brains.... or flags.

Survive the run and get a prize bag filled with fun goodies and an official pair of "I Survived The Moore County Zombie Run" dog tags. Sign up either as a runner or a zombie. Either way it's going to be a great time. Plus it's for a good cause.
